Used Book Donations

We are grateful for a community that wants to support our stock by making donations of used books. In order to best care for the books entrusted to us, we have implemented the following guidelines.

1. We will accept donations of books in like new, very good or good condition. Fair to poor condition books may or may not be accepted at our discretion. Our discretion will be based on available storage/shelf space, current genre stock, etc. Books with mold, mildew, or evidence of bugs cannot be accepted and should not be brought to our location.
2. We want to take the best care we can of all the books in our stock so we ask that books be previously inspected before donation to ensure they are clear from damage like mold or bug friends. Sometimes books tucked away in storage come with surprises that might pose a risk to other books around them. With our location being inside a cafe, we cannot have any stock that poses any risk to food safety. We appreciate your support in this effort.
3. Books are accepted while we are open and personally able to accept them. Café staff cannot accept donations on our behalf. Check our Location & Hours page for the latest information on staff hours or contact us to schedule a time.
   
4. We are currently accepting all genres. We currently have the highest need for romance, historical fiction, and general fiction. This may change as stock fluctuates.
5. Donations of 5 books or more will receive 10% off your purchase that day. This may be combined with other discounts unless specified that the other discount may not be combined. If utilizing a scheduled drop off, we will provide you with information on using your 10% off discount for a future purchase.
