Book Fair On The Square brings the magic of the book fair to the dreamy Illinois town of Petersburg once a year and it's all designed for grown ups. We gather area bookstores, local authors, and bookish vendors plus shops around town have book themed sales and drink specials. Check back for updates as the event nears!

Our first year, our event gained more traction than we had books! This year, we've invited area bookstores to join us with a selection of their stock. Stay tuned for more details on which bookstores will be joining us!

Local Authors

Did you know that there are talented and even award winning, best selling authors right here in Central Illinois? We are thrilled to have several joining us! Stay tuned for an author list!

Bookish Vendors

Books are the best, no doubting that around here. BUT we have to admit a bit part of the fun was all those extra goodies available at the book fair. We strive to offer vendors with variety and plenty of book themed items for you to find. Stay tuned for a list of vendors!

Explore Petersburg

Our dreamy town has some really incredible shops, eats, and drinks you won't want to miss. We invite area businesses to have book themed specials and deals for Book Fair day! We'll add a list of specials closer to the event.

Childcare Option

This event is made for grown ups, but they can't have all the fun. The Petersburg Public Library has graciously agreed to once again host a children's lock in event for a portion of the Book Fair to offer parents a childcare option for their school age children. More details coming soon!

Where we'll be...

We are back at The Studio On The Square for our second annual Book Fair event PLUS we are closing down the street in front of The Studio. The Studio provides a community space and creative studio for artists of all ages. You can learn more about what The Studio is up to at the link below.

The love of books shouldn't be exclusive. We believe it should be readily accessible for all. That is why we are proud to partner with the Petersburg Public Library! After the event, we will be making a donation from our proceeds to support the library and their work in our community.
